CookiePoof is a Chrome browser extension that automatically deletes tracking cookies when you close browser tabs. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Data Collection
We do NOT collect any personal data.
- No browsing history is collected
- No cookie data is transmitted externally
- No user behavior is tracked
- No analytics tools are used
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's Storage API:
- Whitelist preferences
- Deletion statistics
- Extension settings
- License key (Pro users only)
This data never leaves your browser.
Third-Party Services
- Payment processing: For premium users only, payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store credit card information.
- License validation: When activating a Pro license, your license key is verified via Lemon Squeezy's API. No other data is sent.
- No advertising: We do not display ads.
- No analytics: We do not use any tracking tools.
Cookies
This extension deletes cookies — it does not create or use cookies for its own purposes.
Permissions Explained
- Cookies: To read and delete tracking cookies (core feature)
- Tabs: To detect when tabs are closed
- Storage: To save your preferences locally
- BrowsingData: For full cleanup feature (Pro)
- Alarms: For scheduled auto-cleanup (Pro)
- Offscreen: To play short notification sounds using Web Audio API (free users only)
- Host permissions: To access cookies from any website you visit
Data Sharing
We do not share any data with third parties. Period.
Children's Privacy
This extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
